Here now is your <a href=\"https:\/\/conviviobookworks.com\/Images\/January2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Convivio Book of Days Calendar<\/strong><\/a> for the month of <a href=\"https:\/\/conviviobookworks.com\/Images\/January2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>January<\/strong><\/a>. Cover star is a mid 17th century painting by David Teniers the Younger, called <em>Twelfth-Night<\/em> (<em>The King Drinks<\/em>). Indeed, Twelfth Night will soon be upon us, so if you are celebrating (and I think you should), here&#8217;s enough warning that you can plan ahead for it.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s New Year&#8217;s Day as I write this. The first day of the year is an appropriate one for wassailing out in nature amongst the trees, but it&#8217;s a custom that carries well through all these remaining days of Christmas. We&#8217;ve got a lovely recipe for Wassail in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conviviobookworks.com\/blog\/the-twelve-days-of-christmas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>previous chapter<\/strong><\/a> of the blog, and you can also read there about other customs for these remaining days.
